Make sure the port is correct, and it will be called VAD6038
If you look in MTKFlash, and when BenQ unlock doesnt work, then you can hit Intro/Device ID, and when u hit ok, turn off the drive, then wait 2 sec, and turn back on. That will put you in Vendor mode.. Although BenQ unlock will work with stock Drives. Ixtreme 1.4-1.5's FirmGuard is pretty tough.

Re: Jungle Flasher Not Detecting
u dont have to have it half open, but if u have a VIA or nForce chipset this will work for you. Read the post above

Re: Jungle Flasher Not Detecting
as long as you are powering the dvd drive wuth a ck3 kitChandlerD wrote:how do I leave the drive half open????
hit the eject button.
cut the power off on the ck3
push the dvd drive tray in half(or just a little more)
then turn the ck3 power back on.
Re: Jungle Flasher Not Detecting
im not using that , can i still do it?
Re: Jungle Flasher Not Detecting
it will just stay open
if you are trying to power the dvd drive with the console then its a pain in the back side.
is that what you are doing
or do you have a ck3 of some kind

Re: Jungle Flasher Not Detecting
have a read here.
If using a 360 to power the drive this method can be tricky to accomplish.
You need to power on the drive with Eject status closed but Tray Half Open –To do this using
an Xbox 360 as Power source, eject the DVD drive, then, press eject to ‘close’ the tray. Now this
is the important part –you MUST remove the DVD power plug from the DVD Drive BEFORE it
closes fully.
Wait for a few seconds and replace the power plug into the DVD drive taking extreme caution
to plug the plug the right way around –once done, the drive is now powered, console thinks its
closed but it is in fact half open.
