You know, CoFree has been suggesting to me to use the power cable that originally came with the CK3 and not use the probe, then solder the R707 point and use iprep to get everything. But I'm working with this one particular drive thats doing the same exact thing and no matter what I try, it give me all 0's for the key. If you figure out a solution before I do, be sure and post it up man!!

well
For you guys that are not 100% about your solder skill.
I would offer this idea.
Get a very small wire.
solder one end to the TXD pad/point in the picture
it is a much bigger point to solder to.
Then use the other end of the wire like a probe just make sure it makes good contact with the board.
(you may have to try 2 or 3 times)
What that will do is keep you from having to solder on a very small point.
have a look

I want to give a thanks to mrc for the picture and idea.

The only thing I haven't tried is iprep and thats only because I don't have a good serial cable. But I think I know how I might be able to try though.

well
i have tried it with iprep
from just about every angle.
probe on one end then the other.
you name it and i bet i have tried it.

I have not tried it
with the probe in the spot before i eject the dvd drive tray for the first time.
I put the probe in the hole after i power the dvd drive back on.
and it flat ass want read the key.

hell i even say something about not having good luck with the probe in the lite-on video guide i just did.
