i only use hex editors to look at certain things. I find them very complicated to use, even when I have a step by step guide on doing something to a file through a hex editor. I try to stay away from them as much as possible.

You can check you key out using FWToolbox 4.8...

You need to load a Valid FW Image in first (that can be a blank 1.4 image if you wish, it doesn't matter what fw for this)

Where it displays the key click the browse button, you can then load a key of your choice to check them...

And if at first you don't succeed..? Order the damn card! :Phttp://tekgems.com/Products/la-pci22-vt6421a.htm

just load any firmware in.
then the program will let you input a key.

its a bug in the program
that you can not just open a key file to look at the key.
