You gots to check the manufacture date and post that....but that will not tell you the whole story either as I have only seen one 9000 series drive(not flashable) and 1/2 of the 8000 series made after June are flashable as well....

Re: Newest lit-on DRiveS
I actually need some help with the drive in my new Elite, I got a 200 quid bundle elite with 120 HD and Forza 3 and MW2, I ejected the drive and it looks like a Benq/Lite On, Then I checks the 2 wires in the hole and they are either white and grey or both white, Was made in China and Manufacturer date is - 8-17-2009, English date format 17th August 2009 which is brand new. But by the look of the drive and the wires Im not sure can someone plz help. I dont wanna open the 360 to find its not a benq as I dont have a proper opeing kit or a CK3 so would be waste of time, Im seriously thinking of getting a pre owned console just the core system and flashing that and leave this brand new elite untouched just I always be safe.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Newest lit-on DRiveS
Thanks sas, I know I presumed it probs a Lite On too its just the wire colours confusing me. Ive never heard of anyone having a Benq in a brand new elite before either. Think I just get a pre owned one m8 coz I dont wanna risk opening this, and the fact I just spent 200 quid I dont really wanna touch it like.
But thanks for helping me !

seeing that you are from somewhere else than the us, you may have a benq.
