Setting up the CK3 Lite???

Hi everyone i was wondering do i require to do anything on my PC before using the CK3 Lite,
Or can i just plug it in and go?

you should be able to just plug it in and go, i used it along with iPrep to flash drives. what will you be using?

If using iPrep you can plug it in and go..

If you're using iPrep to flash a BenQ or Samsung you only need VIA 6421 controller card or OnBoard Sata that is compatible.
If you're flashing a LiteOn, you will also need a COM Port on your computer to get the drive key using the RS232 cable that comes with the CK3 Lite.

Quick question guys
Does the COM cable have to be plugged in when flashing a Lite On drive with iPrep?

The com cable needs to be plugged in when getting the key, inquiry, and such files, but is not needed while flashing. Most people do the dump and the flash in a single process so the com cable stays connected. But you will need the com cable for at least the dump of the drive.

the flash goes in the sata cable not the com cable or usb
but
it dont hurt to just leave everything hooked up till the flashing is done.
