Lite-on Probe for CK3 being released

Those of you that are familiar with Maximus's xtractor for lite-on's are familiar with the "spear" that is available for that tool as a no solder solution for dumping the key and id strings. Xecuter is getting ready to release a similar tool for those that have the 3rd version of the Xecuter Connectivity kit, the CK3. Its for both the lite and pro versions. It looks like it may be of better quality materials though. The probe is expected to be available as early as next week. Pricing hasn't been announced as of yet.

quick question...

i know 1.5 isn't out yet, but will we be able to dump/flash the lite on with just our pc (as with all other drives) ?

or will we need this xtractor tool in order to dump it no matter what ?

just curious if u guys know yet.

Just keep an eye on the Lite-On posts, I think its a sticky now at the top of the forum.

I failed miserably trying to build my own version of that....

from the looks of it I wasn't using the right pins at all

LOL, lilrevuk, its not as complicated as you might think. I've actually talked to xecuter about the design. There is only one wire that runs the communication side. The other two wires are a 3 volt line and a ground to provide power to the LED circuit. Thats it. To quote xecuter, this ain't rocket science, you could build your own out of a paper clip of you wanted.

well that would be a lite kit.
that will not have the probe.
