help with flashing with flash.bat 8x

using flash.bat type my drive letter in OK
chose a firmware speed 2x 5x 8x 12x but when i put in 8 is it x as a letter or (x) as times were is it on the keyboard
this is stopping me i wot to tape 8x but cant

forgot to extract it and copy to c dive sorted
