Benq wont read discs!
Benq wont read discs!
I flashed my benq with dosflash 32 and it worked perfect and read originals and backups.
Now I flashed my friends benq he got in the summer witch has a falcon motherboard and not much use and he cant read originals or backups.
should I flash the orig.bin back with dos32 or reflash??
PS: how to I restore with dosflash32??

Re: Benq wont read discs!
im not sure about doing a restore with dos flash.
i think it is just using the rben which should do a restore, but dont do any thing till you here from one of the other guys.
you can do it this way,but i think you had trouble getting it to read/flash in dos.
here is dos restore working from a iprep made usb flash drive.

Re: Benq wont read discs!
Yeah I got a good dump and a good flash on it.
It won't let him play any disc at all.
Any idea's what might've happened?

Re: Benq wont read discs!
does it give you a error when it starts up.
did you open the fitmware with firmware toolbox to make sure it had a good key.

Re: Benq wont read discs!

if i keep getting bad flashes can i get it back to normal?

Re: Benq wont read discs!
well man
you have to have a good key from that benq.
open the "ofw" in the backup folder with firmware toolbow and see if it a good key.
and
see if the key is good.
if you have flashed that dvd drive with a bad key and dont have a backup of the key
you could be in trouble man.
that is what we call a bricked drived.it will only play dvd movies.no games.

The key is good man.
So did I just prolly flash the drive bad?
If so, I can just keep tryin to flash until I get it right, right?

i would flash back to the orig firmware and get it playing orig games.
then i would start over.

Re: Benq wont read discs!
are you sure it's good ?
has to be a random string of 32 letters/numbers, bunch of different ones not same ones.
so if the keys good, then i guess try flashing back the orig fw like co said and see if it'll play games then, if it does then re-dump it and check the key again just to be sure, then make the ixtreme firmware and relfash it.
i mean if the key is good then it should work, unless your flashing it wrong or something ?
just try doing this and good luck man.
