Hi,

I tried to flash my drive today. But by a mistake ive put the power cord upside down on the drive. Its not working now. I opened my drive and r207 is black now..it was not before.
How can i fix my drive?
I took yesterday a photo of my drive and now i can see whats different after i did the power upside down..the only different is the r207 its black now there is no dot on it..
Can u please take a look at these photos and tell me what i can do to fix this problem?

Before: http://img262.imageshack.us/i/dsc01728n.jpg/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Now: http://img697.imageshack.us/i/dsc01733.jpg/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks and sorry for bothering..

Kurdy

Without the key, dummy and inquiry, there is no way to build the CFW. Game over as in it will only play dvd's when you stick a new drive in it. Sorry Bro.

Well it might be worth a try but you could technically try bridging the r207 link ( zero ohm) with a wire bridge if you've tested it with a multimeter for continuity and its failed and keep your fingers crossed that that was the only damage to the drive. If that doesnt work it would require a strip down for broken tracks etc and as the guys have said it will be game over if its caused chip damage. On a side note the newer versions of the ck3 have pptc protection to prevent this happening.

Thanks guys for helping.
I solder r207 in this way. is it good or not?

http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/1277/dsc01739d.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The drive spins few seconds than it stops..is this good or not?
Bytheway..some said if u solder this 2 holes it will work? http://server2.uploadit.org/files/elcap19-photo.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
is that true? and whats the point of soldering this?

you soldered the wrong thing. its the r707 points. . . those small points to the left of where you soldered and you can just use a screw driver to bridge them. . .

Can you please draw on one of this pictures in paint to show me what i should solder and what about the r207? is it ok to have the solder there? should i put the screwdriver just on the r707 or r707+708

i put the scewdriver across the r707 point, thats the only thing that should be bridged. nothing else. . .

Bridge the r707 points with either a wire or a screwdriver or similar (not the hole as thats used if you're using a probe instead, same as in this pic but ignore the 708 points.)
