New to Flashing

Post by slip2010 »

Hi i just recently heard about flashing to play backups on my 360 and I have been doing research to try and figure out how it is done. Now I have taken apart my 360 and know that I have a benq drive. And I watched your video tutorial on flashing a benq with iprep but there are a few things I dont understand. I have onboard Sata ports on my http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813188024" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; can I use these to flash my drive? And also where can i go to download the firmware? Im sorry if I sound like a noob to all this but I kinda need some in depth help lol. Thanks for any you can give me.

You should be able to use that board to flash with, but if you run into problems whilst trying, everyone here would recommend going for the card in my sig... One thing I would say before you start trying anything, would be to make sure you set your SATA mode (in your BIOS) to SATA. Most of the time it is set to AHCI by default.

In regards to firmware, you can get that from xbins (I'm sure there's a link in our downloads section for an xbins auto installer)...

And if at first you don't succeed..? Order the damn card! :Phttp://tekgems.com/Products/la-pci22-vt6421a.htm

You can just use 1234567 12345 or look on the back of the xbox it`s on there , you dont need it though it just makes things easier if you are flashing a few.

well could be
you should have never flash if it did not go just like the video.
look in the backup folder on the usb flash and see what is there
open what ever is in there with jungle and hope that you have a good key there in a firmware.
if you dont the its game over for the console.
