Question about iPrep and the lite-on

I just downloaded and installed iPrep and flashed my BenQ from my broken 360, things went well after I realized the file was BenOFW.bin and not Ben-OFW.bin, anyway that's besides the point. I'm getting a lite-on soon, and have watched cofree's tutorial at least 50 times, I have it memorized by now lol. The one part that gets me is getting the key, I'm gonna be doing this with the probe, so when do I stick the probe in and when it's done getting the key I can just take it out?
Thanks.

after you close the tray half way and power the dvd drive back on.
now you put the probe in and get your key and other files.

And yes, once the key.bin, Identity.bin and inquiry.bin files has been saved, you can remove the probe.

One last question, cofree, in your tut you said it would be a good time to back those up, do they save directly to the flash drive? So I could theoretically just go through like normal and if I mess up I can open windows and drag them off the drive?
Or is it done some other way?

Yeah, it will save them to the flash drive if thats what you dump the drive from. I assume your talking about using iprep to do the drive with. If thats teh case, then your files will be saved on the flash drive under the BACKUPS\7digitserial\5digitserial\ folder. Once you do the dump of those files, you can boot back into windows and go into that directory and copy the files and paste them some where for safe keeping.

Alright guys, I got my 360, and I'm having major problems. With iPrep, I do dLite serial, do the steps, put the probe in, and enter yes, and it tells me the key is invalid and it can't find any of the files. So I try to get the key from JungleFlasher, and if my drive is on at the same time as me opening it, my PC freezes.
I think this has to do with my onboard Sata, but I have done it with other drives, and it should've worked regardless in DosFlash.
I'm using an nForce board btw, on Vista x32.
edit/ Just ordered a VIA VT6421A chipset. Hope to god it works, cause I have a feeling it's my onboard sata.

at this point i would say it is the probe giving you trouble.
solder the 707 point or use a small screw driver to cross the 707 point and
do it with iprep and i think it will work.

Yeah I think it's the probe now too, the green light is permanently on. :/
So if I were to do it with a screw driver, can you give me a size and where I would place it? I'm assuming a jewelers size flathead, would I connect both pins from above or put it between?

There is also
this you can try for a homemade spear...
If you're using JF 0.43, I would recommend trying .26 with Vista. Many people (including Sadalius) have reported problems with Vista and Jungle Flasher...

I can't even get jungleflasher to run with vista

Odd thing is, I can get it to run on Windows 7 64 Bit beta. I haven't tried flashing anything with windows 7 yet, but it would be interesting to try.
