Hello all,
I have a few questions regarding planned Lite-On flashing process. Like my good friend said when asked about drive flashing " you have to do a lot of reading." Did some not a lot here and there. ordered CK 3 pro + probe, got nforce chipset. here is what i plan:
1. Get CK 3 pack - extract key.
2. Install Via 6421, use iprep with key acquired with CK 3
3. Put back crucified drive into xbox 380
= endless fun.
Taking suggestions, guys.

i would
1 get and install the via6421 sata card.
2 use iprep 8.8 with the ck3 & probe and rs232 cable (the computer uses this cable and the flash go in by the sata.
to dump flash the drive

ok, thanks for reply, im confused on 1 issue though. i ordered pro version, to get the whole thing all i needed together. it said it would have the following:
Feature List:
- USB Support (Liteon Key dumping)
- Powers ALL XBOX 360 DVD Drives
- Mode-B on Hitachi 59 & Earlier (78/79 Require Slax Disc)
- Compatible with already released tools (dvdkey/dvdkey32/toolbox etc)
- Onboard ON/OFF Switch
- Onboard Eject Switch
- FREE 360 Hard Drive Adapter
- FREE SATA Cable
- FREE USB Cable
- High Build Quality
- Trusted Xecuter Design
Since you mentined that rs232 cable isnt that the FREE SATA Cable mentioned above that comes with ck3 pro?
Thanks in advance.

PS. Ordered VIA card.

no, the serial cable is has a 9 pin connector male on one end and female on the other. You would only need to use this if you use DOS to flash the lite-on. If you use windows, you could use the USB cable and the sata cable. The problem with using windows to flash with is the VIA sata cards tend to freeze up just after clicking the lite-on erase button. This is why we suggest using iprep along with a serial cable and a sata cable.

We would recommend that you use iprep and flash the drive through dos, so if you do it this way, you will need an rs-232 cable.
If you decide to do it through jungleflasher, you will only need what the CK3 pro kit comes with.
The decision is up to you though.

With an Nforce chipset, you'd just have to try it and see. My computer with nforce chipset wouldn't work, but I've seen others that does. But I read your other thread where you were successful, so congrats man!!
