Sata Card that works the best with Jungleflasher

Post by sadalius »

OK guys, our old stand by VIA cards seems to have a lot of trouble with jungleflasher and the lite-on drives. Let's post up what cards that hasn't shown any problems with jungleflasher and maybe we can find one that works well with all drives like what the VIA did prior to lite-ons.

I haven't tried any other card besides the VIA 6421a. I have had success with it, but I have also had problems. I think CoFree has had nothing but trouble when it comes to the lite-ons and his VIA setup. So let's hear what the rest of you have found along the way.

NVIDIA Nforce + ck 3 pro+probe, worked. I did encounter 1 problem i couldnt find on the web. I could locate drive in jungleflasher, but there were no COM ports available, i went on jungleflasher IRC channel, they told me to type com port info manually ( COM4 in my case). I got that info from device manager.

ATI CrossFire Xpress 3200 + ULI1575 chipset + ck 3 pro+probe, worked. My VIA 6421a kept locking up windows when the LiteOn was plugged in.
