can i put leds in the disc tray with out causing and problems i think this will be a cool mod disc tray open leds lite will it affect the lens at all im unsure ?

im not sure how you would power the led.

if you pull this off post up some pictures.
it would be cool to see.

hmmm, u may have something there, in the next moth or so ill be modding my case agen and prob cut my benq drive case. i may try this

know how to power them all so thats no problem, i need to see where i will be putting them.

i have seen a drive with led mod but not sure how to power thme. try searching on youtube as that is where i spotted it,

i know how ill power mine, wire on each led leg, run it out the back of the drive and either connect it to a battery so it dont use power from the xbox or find a 3v power supply on the mobo and solder it. hard bit will be finding a home for the leds lol. havnt reli looked at the drives insides. there may be a suppy in the drive but then it may screw up the reading of disks

well thats what i thought but im not going to use single leds im lookin at a little strip of leds that i had floating around for my pc but have had power to the leds but its only as the tray opens or closes so only for a second im currently looking for a perm + supply i will update with some pics tonight the only other thing i have thought of is to run the + supply from outside the dvd drive and wire form fan maybe but i do want this to look neat so ill do it the hard way

ok its a start i have perement power to the leds im going to add more leds and tidy it all up ill update when its all finished
