Robin Hoods Playground

I'm replacing the original lite on 74 DVD drive as the laser died. It has Stock firmware.
I dumped the original key which I'm gonna flash into an identical replacement lite on drive.

I was reading the JF tutorial but I have a question. For dumping the key I had to use the half tray open. The next step is the erasing and then the writing.
The tutorial doesn't say if after extracting the key I need to close the tray or I should leave it half open and proceed to erase from that point and on. So i am hesitant to go on.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanx

Make sure you have the key first, I didn't think you could just extract the key on the 74 without probing, (Make sure the key is your key!!) leave the tray half open should be fine. Erase and write

Yes I have the right key. I dumped it with the probe and the other cable that connects to the com on my PC (I can't remember the name)

I looked at shootseele tutorial and I realized the tray says half way open.
