So I've been out of the loop...

Has a new flash come out yet that is "safe" from banning?
Safe is in quotes, of course, because it's never safe...but I mean relatively. Like back in the good old days when I survived 3 or 4 waves.

Also, I'm terrible with categories and which is the correct one, so anything I'm unsure of I'll be posting in General

Yeah like Cofree said

LT firmware for Lite ON and BenQ drives is your best bet at the moment

Well, I don't even have a 360 to flash at the moment, I'm just weighing my options...PS3 or 360. This will be the 3rd 360 I'd deal with.

Also, if your worried about the longevity of the 360, if you buy new and get the jasper chipset, you likely wont get RROD. The failure rate of the jasper chipset is quite low.

I've heard that rumor for like 2 years now...I'm sure they'll do it, but man they're really dragging it out.
Also, I'd probably have to go 360 again cause it's cheaper...but on that note, I can't buy new cause I have to spend as little money on it as possible..so used it is. My first one lasted me a good..3 years. Just 2 RRODs, a fried fan port (which adds about 12 more RRODs), a fried ethernet port, and a dead drive. Really, that's not so bad.
But what's the best used one to get? I hope I can check the serial numbers or whatever I'm supposed to check to see the drive type at Gamestop.

you are not going to save that much money by getting a used one
so dont
just wait till you have the money to get a new one.

there are so many used one going around you will not know what you get
we have took apart one from game stop that was xclamped
do a lay away or what ever it takes but
i would 100% go new.
