Hi, I am a bit new to wii modding but I'm getting there.

I have done the softmod and got my wii playing games from USB but is there a way to be able to play them from a burnt DVD? Without a mod chip, is this possible?

install neo gammer, think thats what its called anyway,i have it on mine and it has played every game ive put in so far.
i think the game also has to be burned to a dvd-r as i hear the wii doesnt like +r

I've tried neo gammer, R8 I think it was. It runs all of my games. Is there any way to set the top left channel that you would normally play games on to run this app instead?

I've not tried +r dvds, all mine are -r and seem to work

Have you tried backup loader? It runs but when it gets to running a game, it comes up with a blue screen and says error 0002 or something along those lines.

you need MenuPatcher v1.0 to run games from the original disk channel i think.
i dont use it personally so cant give u anymore info on it

there are ways
but
they have never worked 100%
so we all just use the usb loaders
