Go to XBINS or if you don't have it go here Auto-Xbins, download the firmware. Read the README and you should be good to go, as for the SATA plug it into the one your HDD is on already.

Ive just had to restore windows, I followed a guide you gave me in PDF and got the ixtreme 1.1 update thingy, what it says in guide, the already hacked firmware, loaded up iprep 8.8 and got it in the firmware box, but I was just testing waiting for your reply, as I presumed youd give me better advice and to go with iextreme 1.5, do I need to copy a file into the iprep resouses folder ? As with the sata leads and stuff youve helped me alot, I feel confident I know what to do now thanks to yourself and the others.

Im gonna see if I can find the right firmware with xbins, is there 1 already hacked so I dont need to copy firmtool file ?

iXtreme Version 1.5 is the latest and greatest. Use that.

Hi guys, Ive got the iestreme def and ixtreme 1.5 from xbins, I installed iprep, took out the def xml file and overwritten original in iprep resources folder, but then I go to load FW into iprep and it keeps giving me the " No Valid FW Loaded " I can nver get round this, This is the only issue im having now, I think I can do the rest.

Does anyone know whay iprep keeps giving me this error ?

uninstall iprep
get iprep from here

Sorry nufcmickey, I wasn't sure if the iPrep 8.8 came with the ixdef.xml or not, it was a while ago before I installed it. Sorry for the confusion.

Ahh cheers buddy, All vids ive watched and read stuff say I had to get the xml file and overwrite in resouces, This may explain why it worked aerlier once again but it wont now, but Im sure ive still got the one I copied to tho, but ive also noticed once youve had error messages in iprep you need to uninstall it all, and youve also gotta install net framework again for it to work otherwise it says iprep has encountered a prob and needs to close, then when ive installed framework v2 again it works, but yeah ill try going what you say above, fingers crossed ! lol. Thanks mate !

Wooo Hooo ! Heres what I did, You guys are awesome, I uninstalled iprep, uninstalled net frame 2, cleaned drive c, restarted system, installed net frame v2 again, installed iprep, there was a few windows updates, loaded into iprep, choose my IDE based chipset, He He, Loaded up FW 1.5iextreme and its worked, But I clicked no on first option 12x stealth 1.5 and clicked yes on second option, but it just looked the same as 1st one, 12 x stealth 1.5, anyway its prepared the pen drive, and I checked last night to see if me pc cud boot from this and it has removable drive, which is the stick so all good so far, Shud I go ahead with opening everyhing now, and I forgot to wrire down the port number beside my IDE chipset iprep gave me, is there a way I can get it again ?

Dont worry about the port number, the liteon drives are the ones who need tobe specific from the start. Since its a benQ, just run dben, and see what port its on.

backslash cud you do me a big favour, could you jot down exactly what I need to do once in iprep flasher, it works coz ive just booted from it and its got all the diff drives at top, like dben and stuff asking me to put serial number, I mean cud you type in here exactly what I need to do once in this, as ive seen in this guide im refering to what I got earlier in the thread, it has in red writing when it says to turn off 360, you are not to because its an issue in iprep which may be fixed in a later release, Im also powering my 360 with the 360 power supply, and do I neeed to rest the 360 beside the PC casing to ground it yeah,

What id do then see is sit and write your little guide down in a book and refer to it all the way, as your aware im a little slow and catching on so would need to be exact how ill see this iprep 8.8 on the screen, thats if you dont mind. and will I be banned from live with this, its not really important as I have a main 360 for my daily use, this will just be for copies, unless of course it will work on live without being banned, just curious so Im aware, I know theres always a chance but how safe is it.

OK iPrep v6 had the bug not 8.8, so don't pay attention to that.

right ive watched that vid, Ive wrote everything down what he does, Ive also just got the 360 opened, Hey no one told me these things would taer my hands to shredds, lol, Theres blood all over the 360, lol, well only a bit, Now to the PC where ima little afraid of, Ive messed up a few of the clips opening aswell, only 1 or two but its ok. Just gonna check the vid again now to see where he plugged in the sata lead to 360 drive, On back of 360 theres 1 with a black cap on and 1 with a leed in, Im presuming its the black cap one but just gonna check.

I was ment to download a game last night so I could check it but forgot about it, Ill leave game downloading tonight but gonna flash now, Ill report back tomorow later if it says succeccfull and again tomorow when ive checked a game, but I can check with original anyway cant I ? anyway thanks lots and lots for all your help,

And as for the SATA cable on the back on the 360, its the Black cable on the left.

this could be a big deal man.
you have to pick the firmware that is for your dvd drive .
there is 3 different firmware in that one rar file .
the ix 1.5 samsund
the ix 1.5 benq
the ix 1.5 lite-on

i hope you did not flash in the wrong firmware.


i just did a check and it looks like even though it gave you 2 choses it was both the same firmware.

if you have flashed it now
then yes for sure check it right now with a orig game.

dont trash any files you have man.
save a copy of the whole backup folder.
