Alright, well I briefly looked in the morning for a connectivity kit, but all I found were a couple for the HDD. Know of a place where you can buy some cheap ones that will work?

I think im going to get the 360 Connectivity Kit V3 Lite NEW CK3 one :P

I am somewhat on a budget for online spending. So all I would need it for (with my benQ drive) would be for power on/off?

Depending if you want to use iprep the lite version can work out the cheapest option as it comes packages with an r232 cable so if you're on a tight budget and plan on doing any Liteons in the future it'll be the cheapest one to go for. I'd get the Via card too if you're planning on using iprep as it will take all the strain out of compatiable chipsets etc.

Alternatively you could use iprep 101 v008 pro beta for your Benq with an updated .ixdef file as it used a slightly different method for flashing your drive which doesn't require you to eject the drive and power off so you could maybe save a few quid on the ck3 (although most people still prefer not to have their drive connected to the 360 when flashing as there is some debate on it being discoverable by Microsoft) Good luck on whatever option you chose though.

Looks like the total cost for modding is about 60 bucks. [PCI card, CK3, Torx(for controller and xbox), Soldering Iron(15 watt, my 25 watt is too big, hard to solder small things)] Then I am probably going to buy a different case. I am kind of wondering if I should buy new controller cases, or just paint my current ones.

If your nit picky like I am, I recommend getting the controller case. I've painted a couple of controller cases before and the paint ends up getting scratched off in places. And yes, I used Krylon paint too :D

Did you clear coat it after?

I found a cool website, (http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/cata ... c-263.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) its got some cool cases, and a bunch of sweet 'plug n play' mods.

yeah, krylon for plastic and then a clear coat. the thing with controllers, they always seem to get tossed around somewhat here so paint just wasn't the answer for me.

Ended up just getting a couple of controller shells, worked out pretty well for me.

The controller shell's I have seen aren't exactly the same shape/size of the xbox ones, they seem kind of like the mad cats controllers for the original xbox. I kind of want a very deep red controller, and cant seem to find any.
