BENQ Locked

Post by gerryb10 »

Ok this is a drive I flashed myself a while back for my friend, the xbox then got e74 so he gave it this guy who did the x-clamp fix but that didnt fix it. But now to the problem, whilst he was installing the x-clamp fix it looks as if hes tried to flash the firmware or something and done a bad flash as the power symbol on the drive is flashing continuosly, it won't eject and it locks up my computer. Its very similar to when a liteon hets locked up after an erase. Luckily I still have the key on my pc, so how can I go about reflashing it?

You said it's flashing red? What is the error code exactly?

If it's e18 the xclamp mod failed. If its e64, 65, or 66 it's a bad flash.

What model drive is it?

I use jungleflasher in case you use iprep. If using JF, you can just load the CFW and paste the key manually into it. All you do then is Intro/ATA and flash.

If using iprep, I believe there is a restore command. There is a tut up in the tutorial section.

Did you uninstall your sata driver? The Via 6421 is known to freeze your pc when your firmware is erased from the drive.

ok i cant read the key through dosflash but this is okay, because I already have the key. When I do the power cycle it gives me the status 0x70 instead of 0x73 and just stalls reading bank 0. But anyway all I want to do is somehow erase and then flash it with my existing firmware with the good key in it without reading. Is this possible?
