looks like a waiting game then so will the Hitachi firmware need re-working to 1.6 an cause delays on that release just askin cos I have a spare Hitachi drive - by the way I would like to say thank you CoFree and Dalecheesy for all your adivce and support with my Learning to flash with iprep/Liteon drives

More than welcome mate. Yeah i'm going to hang out for the Hitachi 1.6 instead of going to the 1.5 too. Haven't had any problems with the 1.4 (touch wood) but it looks like the 1.6 is going to solve a lot of future problems if all new games have this 3rd wave so seems a bit redundant to go for the 1.5.

Nope they have discontinued the benq.. JUST KIDDING of course there will be a fw 1.6 for benq why wouldnt they

I dont believe this, Many thanks to the guys who brought it to our attention, Ive just spent an entire week pondering wether to flash for the 1st time, Ive now done it after hacking my hands to bits opening the 360 and now this, But better be safe than sorry I suppose, Will it be the same process to reflash over the 1.5 ive just put on, like I presume we wont need to save the OFW file just write yeah ? Ill be keeping an eye for any news on the 1.6. Thanks to all who make this possible !

just a thought here if there is a new wave then all games would get into it woulden't they so two games come out with files missing everyones loosing their heads ... but then resident evil comes out and guess what all files are there an ixtreme compatible so I thought hhhmmmm lets investigate further and guess what those two games with the files missing are from the SAME PERSON (could it have been his rippin error or ripped with the Liteon drive and thus the result !!! ? - no offence intended to the ripper

cliff notes: new games have updates (mlb2k9, hawx, etc), ix1.5 and before wont play them, we need a new ix. 1.51 is coming soon.

<@KarateBob> now, old firmwares and games didnt always have a video partition, so when ixtreme was made, they got it to check the video partition

yeah heard about this, doesn't seem like much of a problem with the new fw's not far off.

anyway 0800 for all drives will be good, finally hitachi drives wont be useless lol.
