Just to be sure

Post by pluto_00 »

hey guys
sorry to ask all this but i got a lite-on from a friend that want me to flash it for him as I never did one and I don't have much time lately I didn't keep up with whats happening on the lite-on drives,

So what I can say is that is deinstalled my via drivers and installed the portio32
I still have a yellow ! in my hardware list is that normal ?

I have the Iprep v008.8
I've read some thing going fully for jungleflasher others on going iprep then jungleflasher ...
So what is the best way to do the trick ?

As for hitachi , sammy's and benq's I used the power of the 360, for the lite-on the CK3 pro + probe arrived,
What i'm not sure about here is what power cable to use for the drive,
I've got a green one and a blue one , on the blue one i can connect the probe also, so if I think a little logically (thats sometimes hard :? )
The green is for if you don't have a spear to connect between drive and ck3 tool
The blue is for if you do have a spear to connect between drive the tool and the spear connected also ...

I like jungleflasher, don't get me wrong. But for those that are out to get the job done, like you are flashing this for a friend, I would use iprep. Since you've never done a lite-on before, it's kind of traumatic for your computer to lock up after hitting the lite-on erase button and not know what to do to recover it. It's not really all that bad, but with a serial cable, sata cable, your via, ck3 and iprep, you won't have to worry about your computer locking up on you.

Nope, if your equipment is working right with jungleflasher, it's pie. There are a few hoops to jump through, tray half open, R707, etc, but still easy if your stuff's right :D

Glad you got it man!!!
