Only thing I ever knew of that had the 0047DJ firmware was a hitachi drive. Like CoFree said, a firmware from one brand of drive won't work on a different brand. Like a hitachi firmware won't work on a samsung. But, you can replace a hitachi with a samsung by dumping the samsung firmware, opening it with firmware toolbox and putting the dvd key from the hitachi firmware in it and then telling firmware toolbox to spoof the samsung firmware as a hitachi.

I only did copy the text what was on the site that sold that drive.

I orderd that ms28 samsung ...

What firmware is on will be deleted and flashed with a spoofed one with the good key of my benq drive.

It should arrive next week.

WOOW Finally !

I recieved an e-mail they sended my orderd drive ... i hope i come in tomorrow, then i can kick back some life in my 360 ...

Is there a tut around for spoofing a samsung ms28 into a benq console ? If not here is what i will do...

-getting a dump of the bought ms28 drive
-open orig.bin from my original benq in FWtoolbox
- copy the key
- open the ms28 fw and replace it with the benq's key
- clicking Tools->Spoof Firmware and then choose the benq drive that I am replacing
- then creating my hacked firmware ...

then just flash it in the sam drive.i flash it in by doing a "restore drive",but instead of a orig firmware i use the hacked spoofed firmware.
i flash in a spoofed hacked firmware that i have renamed.

is it more secure ? or better in some way ?

no its just the way i flash in a firmware that i built.
its just a different way.
it dont mater how it gets in as long as it flashes in good

OMFG

I dumped he sam's ofw
i putted my original key in it
i spoofed it as a benq

I renamed it to ORIG
I opende the 12 speed folder of the ixtreme fW and created the hacked firmware

I putted in the backup/serial 1 /serial2/ named SAM-CFW.bin

I flashed it in ...

I get long load time 'reading' and then unplayable disk ... now i'm really getting depressed

Can you just clarify exactly where you are..
what drive you have & what box it is going into eg. >> the drive that was there in the 1st place.

ok.. I think I understand where you have gone wrong

so.. do it like this - step by step

because you have attempted to flash the drive already 1st restore it to stock firmware:

Download the appropriate firmware : http://zkaerfdom.hostwq.net/_menue/Firmware.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Use iprep & prepare a usb flash device

Open the usb device & navigate to the backups folder
Create a sub folder here & call it > ms28
Navigate inside this folder & create another folder & call it > stock
Extract the stock firmware you just downloaded to the usb drive you prepared with iprep & place it in

• x:\BACKUPS\ms28\stock (replacing x with the letter associated with your usb flash drive)

--- or extract it to your desktop & copy & paste it in.. whichever method you are most comfortable with

Then navigate to the folder you have just placed the stock firmware & rename it to : SAM-OFW.bin

Power cycle your pc & boot off the usb key

Press Y to accept disclaimer then > Run the command > rsam ms28 stock

This will initiate the restore process using the stock firmware you previoulsy downloaded & placed on the key -
(& from here the usuall process applies...)

After a successful restore the next step is to take a dump of the drive & build the hacked firmware

So...

In iprep, run the command > dsam ms28 spoof
(& from here the usuall process applies...)

After successful dump & hacked firmware has been built you need to boot back into windows & fire up firmware toolbox.

Open the "hacked firmware" // Navigate to : SAM-CFW.bin // it will be here >> x:\BACKUPS\ms28\spoof
~we don't care about the OFW it's just stock as per what you downloaded

& inject your key
After injecting the key the next thing you want to do is spoof the firmware.. so : tools >> spoof firmware >> select your drive & apply

After the key has been injected & the spoof has been aplied you are ready to flash... so

power cycle down & boot off the iprep usb flash...

accept disclaimer.. blah blah blah

run the command > fsam ms28 spoof
(& from here the usuall process applies...)

After a successful flash, plug it all back together & test that shizzle

Using that orig downloaded firmware i didn't do i just the first dump of the drive ...
ANd when i did Dsam first time then he dumped but did not build a CFW ...

I tought I had to spoof the original dumped fw ... SO thats were I was wrong.

I needed to change one thing ...
The downloaded FW had a 00000000000000000 key ... and then Iprep aborted ... because no good key
So I putted in some other key with more random numbers then it worked ... I had a succes and a CFW

Then the spoof again en flash again. SO BIG thnx ! I finally can play on my 360 again ! WOOT BIG APLAUSE

Yeah that should have been great...
But it's working ...

It will again come to that I have more time to game but for now i'm already verry happy the console is back plugged toghether and can play games again.
