Benq 0800 flashing

hi guy, i just finish to flash my benq dvd drive with 1.5-ixtreme fhashing procedure, now my xbox can read backup copies. Now is time to get involved about making backup copies.

so after read about diferent methods i think i will use, a benq vad 6038 dvd rom to get my ss.bin s from my 360 xbox original games

so i need little help to point me on the rigth direcction ( that gonna be in the same way of 1.5-ixtreme fhashing procedure?) to flash the Benq 0800 firmware, on a new benq vad 6038 dvd drive got from ebay

Hey glad to see you in the mod scene, I just recently flashed mine to 0800 and dumped a few games so I will be more than glad to help you.

1. Make your iPrep USB
2. Take the 0800 FW and rename it to BENCFW.BIN
3. Place the FW in CFW on your iPrep USB
4. dben xxxxxxx xxxxx if you want-
5. But you can fben xxxxxxx xxxxx if you already have a good dump of your drives FW
6. Then just flash it in with iPrep

The trickiest part of all is getting your drive to mount into windows.
many people have trouble with this and so did i. You may need to hotplug, turn on the drive while in windows or turn it on then turn on your comp*- that is what i had to do.

if you master all of those steps you are on your way to making a backup of your games.


P.S. if you fben without dben the drive, you need to place the FW (0800)but really (BENCFW.BIN) into your backups folder in 2 folders like this BACKUPS > XXXXXXX > XXXXX > BENCFW.BIN

when you said "hotplug" you talk about external power supply for the Benq dvd drive ?

that means with the power on to everything and then plug the sata in.
