Re: So I've got the Kreon v1.0 drive now...
Okay, I've tried downloading the firmware manually, and installing it, but it says that my drive is not supported, even though it's the exact same drive as everyone else uses... (I got it here: http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=1392920 ) I also checked, and is set to master... I don't know why ...

Re: So I've got the Kreon v1.0 drive now...
Okay, I just tried the Schtrom360Xtract V3.4 and clicked Extract, and it said this: "Can't get feature list from drive! It is a kreon compatible drive, but don't seem to be flashed with the right firmware! Drive is used as a normal DVD-ROM!" Which is strange, because I ordered it from a pl...

Re: So I've got the Kreon v1.0 drive now...
Okay, I did exactly that. The only thing I noticed that was different was that when I put my disc in the drive, it already appeared as it were 7.05 GB, and the unlock drive button was not lit up. The start button is still grayed. Here's what is says at the bottom: Xbox Backup Creator v2.7 Build: 026...

Re: So I've got the Kreon v1.0 drive now...
I uninstalled and reinstalled v2.5. Then I updated to 2.7. I put the original 360 disc in the Kreon drive and it shows up in My Computer as "XBOX360 (I:)", I boot up XBC v2.7, select " TSSTcorp DVD-ROM SH-D162C TS05", wait for it to read it, and the start button remains unlit. So...

Re: So I've got the Kreon v1.0 drive now...
That's what I did... I've used 2.5 for awhile, just burning games, but then I got my Kreon and downloaded 2.7 and put the .exe in the installation directory.

And I'm using XBC 2.7, however, when I put an original game into the drive, and boot up XBC, the start button is greyed. Also, in Drive Tools, Unlock Drive is greyed out as well... any suggestions?

Is this what I should use?
I researched the best drives to use for backing up games, and came up with this:
http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=1392920
Will this work?
And will the games be stealth patched?
I want to make sure before I blow all my money on it. Thanks guys.

Re: In the midle of flashing BenQ...
Okay, I just got it... I didn't realize that there were internal ports as well... I tried the one closest to the CPU, and wah-lah... everything worked like a charm. Thank you so much for your help!

Okay, I've done all of that, except a different SATA card... I just have the one VIA. Is there anything else I can do?

Re: In the midle of flashing BenQ...
I just tried exactly like that said, and it still stayed at 0x7F. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Because I did EVERYTHING in that movie, and followed the tutorial, as well.

Re: In the midle of flashing BenQ...
I just tried a different flash drive, different everything... but the same thing happened.
When it says:
"Do you want to resend the command until the drive responds (Y/N)?"
Do you turn on your 360 directly after you put "y" and hit enter? Or before?
